With the new infrastructure bill in place, we are seeking Concrete Mixer CDL Drivers to join Committed Trucking, Inc.’s team! We are looking for Drivers to Operate concrete mixer trucks safely and professionally to various plant sites. $26 per hour with 20 hours guaranteed in the Dallas Ft.Worth Area.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Safely and efficiently operating a Concrete Mixer Truck with a capacity of at least 26K lbs Gross Vehicle Weight while obeying applicable laws
- Be able to ingress and egress truck y navigating 2 steps with grab bars present
- Ability to manipulate truck steering wheel (power steering), shifter and other levers and knobs needed for the operation of the mixer truck Regular and timely attendance
- Ability to work irregular hours and on Saturdays Maintain contact with dispatch for scheduling changes Notify company of any job sites information or conditions (delays, test results, etc.)
- Properly track and document activity logs, forms and records (timesheets hours miles, etc.) in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation Regulations.
- Report any issues or incidents to General Manager and or Owner IMMEDIATELY
- Inspect truck before and after EVERY trip Completing routine maintenance of equipment, including reporting minor mechanical issues and thorough cleanliness of mixer daily
- May have to add materials (fiber, color or other additives) to concrete mix
- Rinse out drum and chutes, and dump slurry as required by procedure
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions
- Execute work safely at all times by complying with Safety Protocols
- Stay in compliance with DOT and COMMITTED TRUCKING, INC. requirement
- Ensure proper materials are loaded safely, and obtain proper signatures as required
- Knowledge of roadways in Texas or aability to navigate GPS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Qualifications/Experience
- 6 months minimum experience operating Ready Mix truck preferred
- Commercial driver's license - Class A or Class B
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong work ethic
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Basic Mechanical skills
- Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate machine controls.
- Must pass DOT physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing
Physical Requirements
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions the Concrete Mixer Operator (Trainee) position.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (10 – 12 hours per day)
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary
- Possess good manual dexterity to climb on and around the mixer truck in all weather conditions common to the north Texas area
- Ability to walk on uneven terrain, cleated walkways, and wire mesh
- Ability/willingness to work with outside temperatures that include excessive heat, cold, wind and precipitation
- Ability to sit for long periods of time while driving concrete mixer truck
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and occasionally climb or balance Work Environment
Meet DOT requirements for hearing and seeing including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms Ability to push pull lift or move up to 75 pounds
